EndNote

  • NMT students, faculty, and staff with a valid 900# can download EndNote free of charge. To get an EndNote installer and serial number, email the ITC Help Desk at help@nmt.edu.
  • EndNote comes in two versions: online and desktop.
  • Be sure to register your account online at my.endnote.com before downloading the desktop installer.
  • You must save your EndNote Desktop libraries to your computer's hard drive. So, we suggest downloading it to the computer or device you will be using for your research.
  • Do not save your libraries or sync to a cloud-based folder or drive (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive); over time, the library will become corrupted.

NOTE: If you already have a Web of Science account, you can sync it to EndNote.

There is a free version of EndNote, known as EndNote Basic, and is available to anybody, with no other purchase or subscription required. This version is a more limited reference management solutions and is only available online. Endnote Basic users can create an online library with a maximum of 50,000 references and up to 2GB of attachments. In addition, the free version has 21 styles and a limited number of filters and connection files.
