Our Cataloging and Acquisitions Department is responsible for ordering print and digital books and other physical media (CDs/DVDs/Blu-Rays) for Skeen Library.
For book requests made by NMT faculty and staff, please use this form.
All requests for book purchases must be submitted by the department chair. Please remember all purchases for materials will be deducted from your department's annual allotment.
For any questions regarding digital, print, or other physical media, please contact Dr. David Cox, Director, Skeen Library/OSL (david.cox@nmt.edu)
If the materials requested are in the library's collection and readily available, items will be added to your Course Reserves within 48 business hours.
For questions or more information on Course Reserves, please email us at nmtlib@nmt.edu and a staff member will be in touch with you.
These resources (and variations of them) can be embedded in your Canvas course; please contact the Public Services & Instruction Librarian, Sarah Obenauf, for assistance in setting up the embedding codes.
You may request library instruction for your students by filling out this form.
In order to ensure that instruction sessions are relevant to your class, we ask that you make requests at least two weeks in advance so that the librarian(s) have time to prepare and collaborate with you.
In order to better facilitate library instruction, we respectfully request that you, the faculty member, are present during our visit. You may wish to interject questions or observations pertinent to the course you are teaching, and you will want to know precisely what information your students learned from our librarians. This will ensure that your students are prepared for the demands of your subsequent assignments.
NOTE: Room reservations for the Tripp Room (212), Room 5, and Room 108 require approval by library staff. If the room is available, we will approve your reservation after the booking form has been submitted.
If you would like to reserve Einstein's Atrium for a special event, please email us at nmtlib@nmt.edu and a staff member will be in touch with you.
