My Two Lives, And Then Some: A Transgender Perspective

According to The Williams Institute (UCLA School of Law), approximately 1.4 milliion Americans identified as transgender in 2016. In this first installment of the Spring 2019 Engage the World series, Socorro resident Teresa Palomar discusses what it was like to transition during the conservative Reagan Era and living in "stealth mode" for decades. She will also address several current issues of importance to trans people today, such as homicide, suicide, and discrimination.
